 We arrived in Bendigo to a beautiful sunny day, with the prospect of sunburn, and it was clear that we were in for an autumn treat.
 
We were able to sneak into the Prince of Wales showgrounds, just in time to catch the ever pleasant and AMP award winning Lisa Mitchell.  With the backing of a solid band, Lisa put the crowd in good stead for the rest of the day, playing many of her hits.
 

The Emerging Writers Festival 2010 is on from May 21st - 30th, boasting 30 events in the CBD and over 350 writers and artists as contributors.
 
SYN's Get Cereal will be all over it, bringing you interviews with some of the contributors and facilitators.

Dozens of bands entered SYN's Free Kick competition and though it was a tough decision, the top 5 entrants have been chosen.
 
Up for grabs is a spot on this years community cup line up alongside The Living End and other great Aussie acts. The winner will be chosen on the night, so don't miss it!

Join SYN at the free Sounds Loud festival this weekend. Starting at 12 noon, we'll have a live radio broadcast from the festival. We'll also have a TV crew onsite for 1700, and a signing tent where you can meet your favourite artists. So come on down this Sunday, say hi, and enjoy a great day out!
