Red Rockets of Borneo win Free Kick

Melbourne's own Red Rockets of Borneo are the winners of the 2011 SYN Free Kick band competition!
 
Their prize is a spot on the line-up at the Reclink Community Cup on June 26, alongside You Am I, Tumbleweed, The Rebelles and Mercy Kills.

SYN Approved presents Electric Sea Spider

Melbourne’s Electric Sea Spider is heading up the first gig in the 2011 ‘SYN Approved Series’ – an awesome SYN initiative – on April 7 at The Workers Club.  
 
The instrumental hip-hop/beatmaker  will be supported by Mikekay and Wooshie from Melbourne, and Onetalk, whose members are from both Canberra and Sydney.

1700 Does Pyramid Rock!

SYN's music TV show 1700 captured the best moments of this year's Pyramid Rock festival. If you missed the special screening last week, catch the action on the Channel 31 website at your leisure.

Tune in this Thursday to Punk and Metal night from 8pm as Elliot and Mandi bring you the ultimate Nine Inch Nails and Trent Reznor special. They'll be trawling through NINs discography and exploring each of the 27 albums/releases he has created over the years + everything else he has done along the way.

SYN Free Kick Finals gig - Thursday 27th May, Gershwin Room, The Espy.

Dozens of bands entered SYN's Free Kick competition and though it was a tough decision, the top 5 entrants have been chosen.
 
Up for grabs is a spot on this years community cup line up alongside The Living End and other great Aussie acts. The winner will be chosen on the night, so don't miss it!
