The Awkward Stage is a fun hands-on training course made just for under-18's that happens live on the air every weekend and school holidays.  Learn all about studio technical skills; on-air announcing; planning and producing a radio show; media law and community broadcasting while making live radio on SYN.
 
 

YOU could be a master of sound!
 
Work with local ambient sound artists to learn how to record ambient sounds and build your own soundscape through editing, mixing and adding effects. Final soundscapes will be played on the signal speakers and on SYN Radio.

Yes indeed, Tessa and the Typecast have a powerful indie-pop style that won them a spot supporting the English songstress on her recent Australian tour, and we’re predicting they will charm your little cotton socks off when they grace the stage for SYN Approved on Thursday, September 8th. The Staffordswill be supporting.

Collarbones will be playing the SYN Approved gig on Thursday, August 11th, supported by Brothers Hand Mirror, Guerre and Franco Cozzo. The sample-based music duo are Sydney's Marcus Whale (Cyst Impaled) and Adelaide's Travis Cook (Scissor Lock). Together the two mix fragments from mainstream pop, R n’ B and an array of underground and local acts via the internet, then meet to perform them live.

Come along to the Stop Motion Animation Workshop on Wednesday, August 3 5:30 – 7:30pm at Signal, a creative studio for young people, located on Flinders Walk in the City.

Aussie hip hop heavyweights Mind Over Matter (aka M.O.M.) are coming to Melbourne to play SYN Approved at The Worker’s Club on Thursday, July 14th with local lads The Psyde Projects and Koolta.
