Pro-anorexia sites

Should the we follow France's lead and ban pro-anorexia (pro-ana) and pro-bulimia (pro-mia) websites, which promote extreme thinness and methods for self-starvation?

Panorama asks why sites like these exist, what purpose they serve and whether or not they should be censored under the proposed web filter.

Internet filter and the law

Cyber law is a murky area. As our controversial internet filter looks ready to be launched within weeks, Google and Yahoo have said they won't cooperate. What action can the government take against their refusal, and what can the internet giants do in return?

The Great Firewall of China

Google removed its search engine from mainland China this week as the first step in their plan to halt their Chinese operations entirely.

This follows apparently unsuccessful discussions with the Chinese Government regarding the censorship of search results and the hacking of e-mail accounts of several Chinese human-rights activists.
