There is one thing you must do if you want to exercise your democratic right – and that’s enrol to vote. It can be confusing, so Below the Line’s Emma Buckley Lennox had a chat to Thomas Harper from the Victorian Electoral commission about the whole voting thing.

Public Transport - where the parties stand.

Catching a train, tram or bus may be the most boring part of your day – and for many it’s also the most frustrating.  Public transport being late, crowded or just not showing up is something Melbournians have had to deal with for years. Late last year the provider of trams and trains changed and it was meant to help fix the problems – but so far Metro hasn’t met most of its own performance targets.

Bandt on the Greenslide!

The result of the election for the two major parties still hangs in the balance. What's clearer, though, is a huge swing to the Greens - the Greenslide!

New Greens' MP for Melbourne, Adam Bandt, was quick to throw his support behind the Labor Party to help them keep government. But what changes are we going to see on the big issues like asylum seekers, climate change and gay marraige?

It's also very marginal, and the Liberal Party will be fighting against their own defector, Michael Johnson to hold it.
