How much closer are we to setting a price on carbon? In one of its first moves, the Gillard government is set to appoint a climate change committee to ask the big question: what's better? a carbon tax or a market-based approach?

Should we go nuclear? Should we have nuclear power stations to fulfill our power needs in Australia?

Safety concerns have hampered the move to nuclear energy, along with the question of what to do with the nuclear waste. But as we search for alternative energy sources, nuclear has made a comeback. Supporters say it's clean, it's viable and we've got lots of it right here at home.
