Poetry Slam Off! with Jenni and Bron

The Girls In Grey Interview

Nat and Fin spoke to Carolyn and Helen from The Shift Theatre about their new play The Girls in Grey, a minimalistic piece that commemorates the service of Australia and New Zealand's nurses in World War I. It opens on ANZAC Day and has been heralded for its accurate portrayal of three courageous and dedicated women. Top Designs Finalists Interview

Arts Mitten's Finbar O'Mallon spoke to two talented designers having their VCE work featured in the VCE Season of Excellence's Top Designs Exhibition at the Melbourne Musuem. Fin spoke to Visual Communication student Matilda Rutherford and Systems Engineering student Robin Kent about their pieces, and got their sage advice for current VCE design students vying for next year's Top Designs.

Review: Shame

 Finbar, Beth and David delve deep into Shame, the controversial new film from Steve McQueen, starring Michael Fassbender as a hollow sex addict, and Carey Mulligan as his fragile and broken sister. The guys discuss the artistic merit of the film's hardcore sexual imagery, and grapple with the nature of sex addiction itself.

Shooting VS Shooting Documentary Film Review

Arts Mitten's journalism expert Finbar went to this year's Greek Film Festival in Melbourne to see the documentary film Shooting VS Shooting, directed by Nikos MagrelisShooting VS Shooting investigates the ordeals faced by war journalists in the 2003 war in Iraq and the complexity of modern propaganda in today's media.
