Don't Cut Aid Campaign

The Don't Cut Aid campaign was started by The Oaktree Foundation last week in response to reports that the May 8th federal budget could see reductions to Australia's foreign aid commitment. Australia currently donates 0.35 per cent of the federal budget to foreign aid and the government has committed to donating 0.5 per cent of the federal budget by 2015. The Don't Cut Aid Campaign, run by the Oaktree foundation, aims to pressure members of parliament, including Prime Minister Julia Gillard and Foreign Minister Bob Carr to maintain foreign aid.
