Baillieu backs away from pokies reform

 
 Premier Ted Baillieu has backed away from his pre-election policy to introduce voluntary pre-commitment technology to poker machines across Victoria by 2013.

Victoria Police launch child protection teams

As part of child protection week, Victoria Police have announced that they are increasing the number of sexual offence and child protection teams across Victoria.

EPA leaves Brunswick contaminated site unresolved

 
Brunswick residents are demanding to know why it is taking so long to decontaminate a heavily polluted site on Barkly St.

The Environment Protection Agency and the company Spotless, which contaminated the site, are responsible for the clean-up, but residents say that it is taking too much time.
