National Disability Insurance Scheme Rally

Last year, the Productivity Commission recommended an overhaul of the way services are allocated to Australians with disabilities.
 
This new scheme is called the National Disability Scheme, or NDIS, and this week disability support groups rallied across Australia in support of the scheme.

'We don't want charity, we just want parity'

Are trade unions well-meaning bodies that look out for their industry workers, or as Howard said, thugs and bullies who stand in the way of productivity?

More than 2000 construction workers marched on Wednesday to remember those killed on Australian building sites, and called for the abolition of the previous government's construction commission, which has seen a spike in deaths on site since its introduction.
