Art in Public Space: Tammy Wong and the Gateway exhibition in Chinatown

This week, Rowena investigated the Chinese Museum in Chinatown. The Chinese Museum has opened an exhibition called Gateway running until Monday 23 May.
 
Gateway features contemporary art that deals with intercultural topics and issues, such as diasporic identity and the relationship between China and Australia from a range of perspectives.

Art in Public Space: Kate Berger and Art in Hospitals

For this week’s instalment of Art in Public Space, Rowena talked to Kate Berger, a nurse and curator of artworks and art exhibitions inside a hospital on the Mornington Peninsula. Rowena and Kate dicussed how art should be seen as an integral part of healthcare and how art should be brought into hospitals to create a therapeutic environment for patients, in order to reduce their anxiety levels and assist them on their road to recovery.
