Top Acts Interview

 Nat spoke to Jessie and Vincent, two talented young performers taking part in the VCE Season of Excellence Top Acts concert. Jessie is a contemporary ballet dancer, while Vincent wows the crowd on the tabla, a type of Indian drum. They spoke about the VCE experience, and their aspirations in performing arts.

Top Designs Finalists Interview

Arts Mitten's Finbar O'Mallon spoke to two talented designers having their VCE work featured in the VCE Season of Excellence's Top Designs Exhibition at the Melbourne Musuem. Fin spoke to Visual Communication student Matilda Rutherford and Systems Engineering student Robin Kent about their pieces, and got their sage advice for current VCE design students vying for next year's Top Designs.

Top Arts Exhibition at the NGV

Florence and NGV representative Alex chatted to two talented artists, Elizabeth Miller and Bill Noonan, whose VCE artworks are in the Top Arts exhibition on now, until 19 June at NGV Australia.  Elizabeth and Bill talked about their experience doing VCE visual arts subjects and shared a few tips and pieces of advice for upcoming VCE students.

VCE curriculum is History

Teachers are concerned that under new national curriculum plans, some popular VCE subjects such as Revolutions and Australian History will be lost under the new Ancient and Modern History categories proposed.

They are also concerned that there is not enough time between now and July 30, when schools, universities and education groups must deliver their responses to the proposed curriculum for a September roll-out.
