This single is a musical interpretation of what happens when two Australian music producers spend way too much time playing arcade games. Note the strangely Star Wars-ish nature of video clip:

Space Invaders pre-dates our previous Novelty Nasty of the Week, Pacman Fever by Buckner & Garcia, by two years. It reached #3 in the Australian charts.
