So, it's happened.
 
Yesterday we voted, and the result: it's too close to call.
 
The magic number to hold the majority in Parliament is 76 seats, but neither party is at that figure. Here are the numbers as of 3pm Sunday
 
Labor: 70
Coalition: 72
Greens: 1
Independent: 4
Undecided seats: 3
 
The Greens member Adam Bandt has said he will not form a government with Tony Abbott, and would rather side with Labor. The other four independents are not being vocal as of yet.
Three of them are ex-National Party member who defected to be independents due to dissadisfaction with the Coalition agreements.
In the seat of Denison's likely new MP is Andew Wilkie, who has previously run as a Greens candidate in John Howard's old seat of Bennelong. So that means it is likely he will side with Labor.
 
This morning Julia Gillard has met with Adam Bandt and Bob Brown and is pledging to negotiations with all idependents as soon as possible. In a press conference today, she said "neither party has been giving the right to govern in their own right," but Labot has won the overall two party preffered.
