Monday was not only another chance to hang with your favourite befringed lassies, but also the beginning of the Melbourne International Comedy Festival. Excitement!

 

For Old versus New we discussed Spoon and their slow transition into mainstream culture. 

 

In a city to be taken over by LOLs and ROFLs, we discussed the trend, or moreso existence of musical comedians for our Scene and Heard segment. The discussion included Tim Minchin, David O'Doherty, Tripod, Scared Little Weird Guys, and The Axis of Awesome. And of course, Rich Fulcher of Mighty Boosh fame.

 

 

Video on the Radio covered OK Go's 'This Too Shall Pass,' a video of a Rube Goldberg machine (you know, those chain reaction machine things made up of lots of little parts like in the Honda ad.) Here it is for those who weren't able to fully appreciate the visuals (radio being non visual and all):
