2.) SMEG Theatre presents Nausea's Reprieve:  
 
Florence talked to playwright and founder of SMEG production company James Khoo and musician Ben Snaath about SMEG's absurdist comedy Nausea's Reprieve
 
The shows will be running as part of SMEG's Winter Carnival at Top Shed in Fitzroy on 20 & 21 August.
 
Nausea's Reprieve is inspired by the existentialist ideas in Sartre's novels and explores Brechtian epic theatre conventions.
 
3.) Two Femmes and a Fatale by Full-Skirted Productions:
 
Inspired by classic film noir movies such as The Big Sleep and The Maltese Falcon, comes a new play called Two Femmes and a Fatale by the independent theatre company Full-Skirted Productions.
 
Florence talked to Annabel Green and Letitia Kearney, co-writers and directors of Two Femmes and a Fatale, about subverting the archetype of the femme fatale and reinventing film noir and classical theatre conventions.
 
Two Femmes and a Fatale will be playing at Chapel Off Chapel from 25 August-4 September with a preview on 24 August.
 
4.) It Sounds Silly by Chunky Move at Signal:
 
Beth talked to Adam Wheeler, the director of It Sounds Silly, Chunky Move's dance production, premiering at Signal on 19 & 20 AugustIt Sounds Silly explores childhood memories through the eyes of the young dancers performing in the production.
