favourites: flash in the pan podcast 29th sept

Final Flash in the Pan show for 2010!

Today's show was loosely themed 'favourites'

It turns out that we should definitely switch from butter to margarine, as revealed by an Australian Heart Foundation report. Melbourne now has the dearest coffee prices in Australia, according to a recent survey. Oh I forgot to mention on air that my favourite place to get coffee in the city is Stax cafe, which is on Little Latrobe street, opposite the RMIT bookstore, near Melbourne Artist Suppliers. In my opinion, best coffee in the CBD.

I shared my most memorable food experience: eating gnocchi in Rome and also a bunch of tips about making it. I recommend using this recipe from my new fave food blog trotski & ash.

Got a good tip about searching for recipes online: use
tastespotting
to cross reference recipes. Aaaaand for the rest I pretty much just rambled away about food blogs and the current issue of Voiceworks (themed Hunger!!!) because secretly I am a bit ill and feverish.

I hope you guys enjoyed the season of Flash in the Pan. Hopefully I will be back over the summer - but look out for the Flash in the Pan zine, coming to a zinestore near you!!!!
