Making the move to college, for many students, is their first experience of adult life.

Heavy drinking can lead to bad behaviour - boat races and beer bongs are commonplace - but how far is too far?

Allegations of sexisim and violence, and the boys-club mentality has led to a bad name for college culture.

Tamzin Byrne, who went to Melbourne Uni's Queens College, and Sydney writer Carina Garland talk to Hayley Crane in the studio about sexist college culture.

The elephant in the room

The unsaid factor here is the difference between co-ed and single sex colleges. Sydney Uni is largely dominated by single sex colleges, and unsurprisingly, where much of the institutionalised misogyny seems to occur.
