O Week and beyond

With the university year creeping up on us, it’s time for another batch of first years to figure out how to navigate the campus and learn lecturers and tutors name. But university can also mean moving out of home, the freedom of independence and being in a class of more than 300, where all the faces are unknown.  Youth mental health organisation Headspace has set up a website to help students with concerns about O-week and university, it’s got blogs from other first-time students and information about how to deal with stress.

Emma Buckley Lennox and Esther Ooi report.
