Rash Politics Episode 15

Rash Politics Episode 15

"In old days men had the rack. Now they have the press" Oscar Wilde

The Media has held an interesting position between the people and the state across time. Today its a mixed mess of being the reporters of news and the creators of news. From breaking new policy and leaking budget details on QandA to blowing up Tony Abbot's "Sh*t Happens" quote above and beyond the call of duty the media is constantly shaping the political landscape, just as much as the landscape shapes it.

It also has a major role to play in providing objective and factual coverage...something its still working on today.

So for this show we tackle Politics and the Media,
 >Getting your sources correct is vital in ensuring the people get factually correct correspondence. So when SBS aired a story showing old footage from a prior conflict...things got a bit screwy..especially when the abc followed suit.
> Lindsay Tanner released a new book and predicted the headlines that were to follow. Is this book a critical look at the press and politics or is it as the papers said "a Tanner Attack!?"
And The Bolt Report. As viewers tuned in, sponsers pulled out.
