SYN FM and the Attitude Foundation are looking for the next generation of media industry talent with disability to join our free Emerging Voices program.
This free program will be run by Attitude Foundation in partnership with broadcasters 3ZZZ and SYN Media. SYN is looking for participants between 18–25 years old to participate in the program.

Emerging Voices is a media workplace experience program run by the Attitude Foundation that is inclusive and accessible for people with disability/ chronic health conditions or mental health conditions. Participants explore potential careers in media and gain hands-on experience, and contribute to the production of radio shows or podcasts.
The program offers experience in these areas:

Pre-production and planning

Studio operation

Interview skills

Recording and post-production

Going live to air

Authentic storytelling

A free lunch is also provided for all participants each day.

Attitude Foundation has recently identified an opportunity to expand the program to cover employment/internship pathways. Currently, they have been able to place participants at JOY FM, RRR and with the ABC. During the program, participants will also be able to do a walk-through of ABC Studios in Melbourne, and gain hands-on experience from ABC Journalists.
Where? SYN FM Melbourne (within RMIT City Campus)
When? Round 5 will occur on Mondays (7th, 9th, 16th, 23rd, 30th of June and 7th of July).
In the broadcast industry there are many factors that contribute to schedule changes. In the instance of a change to the schedule, we will give ample notice where possible. We are always grateful for your flexibility.
