Gumboots, leopard print, screaming aliens and a whole lot of ass-shaking – Meredith ’24 was indeed a splendour to behold.
Three pairs of chunky sunglasses decorated the merch desk, canvased by two merch designs printed on tees and a small printed price list.

I just had the most iconic weekend ever. Why, you might ask? Oh, because I was basically front row for The Chainsmokers... no big deal. 
That’s right — I got to fulfil my fantasy of attending a classic tropical EDM festival without having to travel overseas. As part of Always Live 2024, youth music organisation The Push brought big names to parts of regional Victoria, opening up the opportunity for people of all ages to enjoy and experience the thrill of live music.
Opening the show was triple j Unearthed competition winner Wild Gloriosa whose spellbinding vocal runs were sent straight into my soul. The Push’s All Ages Tour Touches Down in Geelong - 8th December 2024

With an energy that never faltered, the night showcased a perfect blend of crowd-pumping anthems and heartfelt moments, making it a night to remember for Australian music lovers.
The first concert I went to was one I remember vividly. I saw Gretta Ray perform at the idyllic Chapel Off Chapel for her ‘In Between Eras’ fans-first show. As a regionally-based music lover, it was always a struggle finding youth-friendly concerts I could go to that didn’t break my non-existent bank account and wouldn’t have me getting stuck in the Melbourne CBD with no way home after the last v/line left Southern Cross at 9:42 PM.
